Day 1

Turku, the food capital of Finland

Welcome to Turku, the food capital of Finland, where our day revolves around local flavors! We kick off at the vibrant Turku Market Hall, indulging in local delights like fish and sweets. Then strolling through the colorful Market Place and picking up fresh berries for later.

Thirsty? Let's head to Kakola Brewing Company for craft beers and sodas in a unique setting—an old prison turned brewery. The day ends with a local cuisine dinner by the River Aura.

Day 2

Adventure day in the unique archipelago setting

We will spend an idyllic day in the archipelago, where adventure and relaxation await! Our journey begins in Naantali with local flavours and stop at the idyllic old town.

Energized and ready for adventure in the islands. We set out to explore local nature and culture at Herrankukkaro, an old fisherman’s village in Rymättylä, Naantali. The afternoon provides you different activities, open fire cooking, and world’s largest smoke sauna by the sea. Your visit is topped with a local archipelago dinner by the sea.

Day 3

Turku, the place where Finland was born

The day begins with guided tours at two iconic sites: Turku Castle, a medieval fortress steeped in history, and Luostarinmäki outdoor museum, offering a glimpse into traditional Finnish life in early 1800’s.

After immersing ourselves in the past, we continue the theme by enjoying an afternoon tea at 1800’s wooden quartier that was saved from the Great Fire of Turku 1827.

As the sun sets, we stroll along the River Aura, where locals gather to relax and unwind, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of their "living room."

Day 4

Travel day

Take a scenic train from Turku to Levi. If you've started your journey from Levi, then this is the day to head south. If you want, you can look into arranging a charter flight between the destinations.

Levi, local culture culture and a moment in the middle of art

A visit to the Särestöniemi Museum offers a unique opportunity to delve into the rich tapestry of Lappish nature through art while immersing yourself in the life and works of the esteemed artist himself. The museum provides a comprehensive exploration of Särestöniemi's oeuvre, allowing visitors to gain insights into his creative process and the cultural landscape that shaped his artistry.

Through a workshop, including painting and photography, visitors have the chance to not only observe but also actively engage with the artistic legacy of Särestöniemi. Participants are encouraged to explore their own creativity in the nurturing environment of the museum..

Day 5 – Evening

An evening with a reindeer herder

After the creative day, you will get to know the local, traditional reindeer culture and the life of a reindeer herder.

Dinner is prepared by the open fire in a Lappish hut. While enjoying the tasty dishes of Lapland, you learn of reindeer year and what is required of a reindeer herder.

Day 6

Lapland forest and lakes

Take your time to unwind and connect with the nature as you gather seasonal herbs, berries, or mushrooms along the tranquil path leading to the lake. Engage in the serene art of fishing, affording you panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the water's perspective.

Once all the ingredients for lunch are gathered, they'll be prepared together over an open flame, enhancing the flavors of the meal. It's a time to relish each bite with a hearty appetite!

This day offers a return to simplicity amidst the hectic pace of everyday life, allowing you to embrace the elemental joys of nature and nourish both body and soul.

Day 7

Purest air in the world

After breakfast, the road leads you towards Pallas-Ylläs National Park, renowned for boasting the cleanest air in the inhabited world! Embark on a hike up to Taivaskero fell, where the flame for the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 was ignited. Though the ascent may pose a challenge, the breathtaking views make it unquestionably worthwhile. Following the hike, indulge in the rejuvenating experience of the Arctic Sauna World. With four distinct saunas and the opportunity for a refreshing swim in the lake, this serene setting promises to soothe the mind and invigorate the spirit for all who partake.

Day 7 – Alternative program

Gondola ride to the top

As an alternative to hiking in Pallas, you can also choose a slightly easier way to reach the top of the fell when you take a gondola ride at Levi. There is a short trail at the top of the fell and if you want to experience the walk back to the starting point, the road will lead you through Santa's cottage, one of the most photographed spot in Levi!
