Nagu is a lively island destination known for its buzzing guest harbour, summer shops and live music, scenic nature trails and vibrant atmosphere along the Archipelago Trail.
Nagu is a beloved summer destination: Located along the Archipelago Trail about 60 kilometres from Turku, the village harbour fills up with boats from Finland and Sweden, and sometimes even further from June onwards.
The harbour area comes alive in June and July with seasonal shops and live music events that run throughout the summer, making Nagu one of the few archipelago destinations with a genuine nightlife scene.
For visitors looking for something quieter, the nature trails in Kirjais, Högsar and Vargberget offer peaceful, off-the-beaten-track scenery that feels a world away from the waterfront bustle.

Nagu Guest Harbor is one of the liveliest summer hubs in Saaristo, welcoming both boaters and day visitors and serving as a gateway to nearby islands with ferry connections to destinations such as Seili.

A historic fortress island in the Archipelago Sea. Stunning archipelago, cozy accommodation, and delicious local food. Reachable by ferry ride from Kasnäs.

Nagu's lively harbor is lined with charming boutiques, seaside restaurants, cafés, and terraces where visitors can shop, dine, and soak up the laid-back atmosphere of the archipelago.

Nagu is the perfect location for those looking to stay on one island for a couple of days. Island hoppers travel to the island by bike, car, or even on foot. For visitors exploring by bike, there is a local tip worth knowing: the route from Nagu via Mielis and Sexnappa to Pärnäs is a significantly better experience than the main road. It is quieter, the scenery is properly archipelago, and it is the kind of route that cyclists remember.
The nature trails in Kirjais, Högsar and Vargberget are worth carving out time for. They offer a completely different side of Nagu from the harbour scene — peaceful, unhurried, and consistently beautiful.
From Nagu, day trips to Seili are possible and well worth it. More on Seili on its own destination page.

The Nagu guest harbor is a must-visit.

Nagu church is located just a stones throw from the harbour.
