Turku also offers beautiful hiking opportunities. For city strollers, a walk along the Aura river could be a great way to spend an afternoon. The nearest island to Turku, Ruissalo, is especially popular among locals with its oak forests, sea views, and peaceful trails dotted with 18th century villas.
