The Charming Seaside Town Naantali
Known as known as the town where the sun is always shining, Naantali was established around the Bridgettine convent on the shore of the Baltic Sea in the middle ages. The town is located just a short journey from Turku.

The compact harbor area has everything within walking distance, so it’s best to leave your bike parked. In summer, Naantali is bustling with people, boutiques, and boats. In winter, the church acts as a venue for concerts – and if it’s cold enough, you can hop onto the frozen sea and go ice skating.
The Old Town's streets are lined with historic wooden houses, many of them having been restored and painted in vibrant colors.

Surrounded by Saaristo's landscapes, you don’t need to go far to experience nature at its purest: Naantali offers easy access to forests, the rocky Kuparivuori cliff, and peaceful beaches – with trails winding through the area.

For those seeking peace and quiet, the surrounding archipelago offers countless island-hopping adventures. Ferries and boats can take you to explore islands like Seili, Rymättylä, and Velkua.

The Naantali harbor is a favorite spot for locals, and it’s the perfect place to stop for a treat or a coffee.
Moominworld is also located in Naantali: A must-visit for families, this island brings Finnish artist Tove Jansson’s beloved characters to life. Moominworld is located on the nearby Kailo Island, accessible by a bridge.
